Download: Complete Guide to Business Strategy Design
Source: Flevy
Summary: This document provides a framework to design your business strategy.
A key question that every business needs to able to answer is "What is our strategy?"
'Strategy' is part of everyday business language and is often used in the wrong context ( 'Operational Excellence' is not strategy).
The core of any strategy is about making choices of where to play and how to win, supplemented with a 'why' (the mission) and the 'how' (doing it).
This document covers these topics in three main sections:
1. What an organisation wants to achieve (Mission, Vision, etc)
2. Where and how it should compete (making choices - the heart of strategy)
3. How the strategy can be delivered (execution and implementation)
There are typically 12 elements in business strategy formulation and this powerpoint provides a powerful and effective strategy framework for any business to check the health of each element to give a good audit of the business strategy.

Download: Stakeholder Analysis Matrix
Source: Flevy
Identifying the main stakeholders and their level of influence can be vital to the success of your project. Stakeholder analysis involves recognizing individuals and groups with the power to either sway or make a key decision.
Mapping can be used to get a deeper understanding of the position and motive of each stakeholder involved in the decision making process. Use the Stakeholder Analysis Matrix to identify key stakeholders, evaluate their interest, power, support level and flexibility. Automatically generate a Decision Support Quotient, and view the Stakeholder Analysis Map that graphically represents each stakeholder?s position.
Here is an action plan for this tool:
1. Prepare a Stakeholder Analysis ? Use this Stakeholder Analysis Matrix to assess the influence and buy in of key stakeholders.
2. Identify Risks & Threats ? Examine your Stakeholder Analysis Map to determine which stakeholders could be a threat to project success.
3. Develop Action Items ? based on your analysis, develop action items and key success factors for each stakeholder and follow up to monitor progress.
4. Update your Matrix ? when new information related to interest, power, support level, and flexibility is learned, update your stakeholder matrix/map.
5. Communicate with Project Team ? share your results on a weekly basis.

Download: Product Lifecycle
Source: Flevy
Product Lifecycle Analysis is an invaluable tool for developing a robust product marketing strategy. Marketers and strategists can use this analysis to predict sales growth, associated customer and competitor behaviors, and, in turn, devise the appropriate product marketing strategy.
The Product Lifecycle itself it divided into 4 stages of development:
* Introduction
* Growth
* Maturity (and Saturation)
* Decline (and Termination)
The length of each period varies tremendously. Some products have very short cycles, whereas others can take decades or even centuries to go through the cycle. The lifecycle can be mapped against the consumer adoption curve, where the peak of the curve generally occurs in the Maturity stage of the Product Lifecycle.
This document details a 5-phase approach to proper Product Lifecycle Analysis and draws out key strategic insights at each stage of the lifecycle. Additional concepts discussed include:
* Consumer Adoption Curve
* Bass Diffusion Model
* Lifecycle-Performance Factor Matrix
* Strategic Positioning
* Substitution Analysis
